In an era where online conversations shape public opinion and define the fate of causes, the ability to prioritize and evaluate relevant information is crucial.

At Linterna Verde, we continuously analyze narratives, actors and dynamics impacting human rights and civic participation in Latin America. Since 2018, we monitor the public conversation on digital platforms to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for civil society, examining key features of the debates driving campaigns, reform attempts, and judicial challenges.

We apply qualitative and quantitative methodologies that allow us to translate the complexity of the digital debate into strategic and actionable inputs for organizations, activists, journalists and human rights defenders.

Our work seeks:

• Enhance the voice and influence of civil society in the digital public debate through well-defined and executed participation strategies.
• To equip Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with tools and knowledge that enable them to make evidence-based strategic decisions and strengthen the effectiveness of their actions and campaigns.
• Reduce asymmetries in access to technical knowledge and analytical tools to map key dynamics and narratives of the digital ecosystem.
• Promote the active and strategic participation of CSOs in the public conversation, enabling them to anticipate trends, respond to challenges and adapt to a changing digital environment.

Through research and collaboration, we provide civil society with tools to understand, influence and respond strategically in the digital environment, promoting a more plural and transparent debate.
