Within the framework of Unesco's Social Media 4 Peace program, with financial support from the European Union, we developed two tools that can serve as input for designing digital research and analyzing hate speech directed against indigenous and Afro-Colombian populations in social networks:
- A catalog of discriminatory narratives and
- A battery of terms used in hate speech comments on networks
Among others, these resources can be used to support the design of search keys for research and monitoring, to make visible certain manifestations of these discourses in Colombia and to offer contextual inputs for content moderation.

While these resources include term bases related to potentially harmful content identified online, this does not mean that the use of these words automatically constitutes hate speech. For such judgments, it is necessary to make an individual assessment of the content and take into account its context. Nor, as the tool makes clear, is it an exhaustive resource.
